AN initiative has been set up to help improve computer literacy in the community.
The European Computer Driving Licence has been put in place in libraries around Buckinghamshire. It teaches librarians how to be proficient at using computers so they will be able to help customers who are not used to the new technology.
Joan Fisher, an assistant librarian at Burnham Library, was the 50th in the county to be awarded with a certificate at High Wycombe library on Thursday.
She said: "It takes about a year to do it and it is quite difficult doing it as well as working. There are seven modules to do."
Cllr Margaret Dewar, cabinet member for community services on Buckinghamshire County Council, said she was delighted.
She said: "This is a huge investment in helping people to be as computer literate as possible."
