WORSHIPPERS were blessed with glorious spring sunshine as they celebrated the crucifixion of Jesus on Good Friday.
A procession, led by a man bearing a cross, started in Christ's Church, Quoitings Square, where churchgoers enjoyed a united service attended by worshippers from across the Marlow Parish.
Parishioners were led down Marlow High Street into Higginson Park where they held an open-air service.
The Churches Together in Marlow organised the annual event which attracted record attendance.
The Rev Sue Irwin, of St John The Baptist Church, in Little Marlow, attended for part of the service.
She said: "From what I saw it seemed to be a very good service and very well attended.
"We have had so many wet Easter Fridays in recent years it was great to have some sunshine for a change."
Alison Rae, secretary for Churches Together in Marlow, said of the event: "Attendance seems to get better year on year. I would say there were around 150 people there."
She added: "It is one of the most important Christian events in Marlow's calendar."
