A GROUP of Beaver Scouts had a splashing time when they were treated to a visit from firefighters and were allowed to use the hose.
The 20 boys from the 3rd Chesham Scout Group were visited by the firefighters from Chesham Fire Station at their headquarters, behind Emmanuel Church, Broad Street.
Tony Clark, group Scout leader, said: "The equipment on board was explained to them and they were allowed to sit in the cab.
"The importance of fire safety and fire hydrants were also emphasised.
"They saw the special cutting equipment used by the brigade when they attend serious car accidents. The best bit of all was being allowed to use a hose under supervision."
The Chesham Scout Group welcomes boys and girls aged from six upwards and has a varied programme of activities.
