AN EXCITING year culminated in the handing over of the presidential chains at the last meeting of Inner Wheel, the female division of High Wycombe's Rotary Club.
Last year's president Margaret Webb proudly passed the honour onto former secretary Joyce Merrett at Adams Park, High Wycombe, on July 5.
Mrs Merrett will oversee the group's vital fundraising work and decide on speakers at its meetings, held on the first Thursday of the month.
Former president and fellow Inner Wheel member, Jose Barber, said: "Each president is different and they all bring their own characteristics to the position. Other members chose her and we are confident she will do a good job."
