A PIZZA delivery man was robbed at knifepoint at the side of a busy road after delivering food to customers.

The 22-year-old man, who works for Domino's Pizza, based in Castle Street, High Wycombe, had just taken a pizza to an address in London Road, opposite the Halfway House pub, Loudwater, at 8pm on Sunday.

As he was about to get into his red Vauxhall Cavalier, he was grabbed my two men.

One held a knife to his throat and another held a knife at his leg.

Both men demanded cash before searching the delivery man and stealing cash, a mobile phone and two pizza hot bags. The men made off towards Ludlow Mews or Hammersley Lane.

A short while later, one abandoned pizza bag was found near the junction of Totteridge Drive and East Drive and another was discovered near the Merco Garage in Micklefield Road.

One man is described as Asian, 25, 5ft 6ins to 5ft 8ins tall, with medium length curly hair, a goatee beard and a slight moustache. He was wearing a black leather jacket and a black woolly hat.

The second man is described as black, around 6ft tall, of large build, and was about 30 years of age. He was wearing a black leather coat and black leather hat.

Police are appealing for motorists travelling along London Road towards Beaconsfield, as the delivery driver tried to flag down cars, to come forward if they saw the robbers making their escape.
