COUNCILLOR Dinnie Hawthorne says she has become disheartened that nothing is being done about a troublesome road in her village.
Parish councillors discussed the traffic problems along the narrow Hedsor Road, in Bourne End, at last week's full council meeting.
Residents living along the road have suggested a narrow footpath and parking bays would protect their cars from fast-moving traffic.
Mike Knight, Buckinghamshire County Council officer, said local residents needed to agree on their priorities as there were conflicting issues of the speed of traffic, parking and a footpath.
Wycombe district and parish councillor John Dalton told the meeting that the subject had been brought up with the council's Highways working party.
Cllr Hawthorne said: "I find that very disheartening, it seems this has been going on for years."
Cllr Dalton said there was no need to be disheartened and that any final decision would be made by Bucks County Council Highways.
