POLICE have taken the unusual step of offering a five-figure cash reward to anyone who can reveal where the murderers of Junior Anthony Brown are hiding out.

Detective Superintendent Euan Read, leading the investigation, said police are offering the 'substantial reward' to anyone who can give them information which could lead to the arrest of the suspected killers.

It was revealed last week that the police believe they know who the murderers were, but have yet to track down where the gunmen are hiding.

Det Supt Read believes that the public could have a 'key role' in solving the horrific gangland-style murder, thought to be drugs-related, in which Junior Brown was gunned down at a flat in Woodside Road, Micklefield, on November 12 at around 9pm.

The 28-year-old was taken to Wycombe Hospital after suffering gunshot wounds to his arm, leg and torso but died from his injuries.

Det Supt Read said the 20-strong detective team investigating the case are 'extremely focused' and prepared to react quickly.

He said: "We believe we know who the killers are but need someone to come forward so we can track down exactly where they are. The person who we believe has this information will know the circumstances of the shooting and will know the names of the people involved."

Two men, described as black, are thought to be involved as they were seen fleeing from the scene in the aftermath of the incident.

Anyone with any information should call (01296) 396170 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
