THE Parents, Staff and Friends Association are still working hard to raise money for its Maplewood Pool Appeal.
The association for the school in Cressex is trying to raise more than £500,000 for a hydrotherapy pool for the new site in Downley that the school is moving to next year.
The PSFA of Maplewood School, for children with severe disabilities and learning difficulties, has been unable to get any money from the Government.
Editor of the Star Steve Cohen pulled on his runners for the appeal and managed to raised an estimated £500 by running the Wycombe Half Marathon last month.
He said: "I finished in two hours four minutes, beating last year's time by four minutes. But I won't be doing it again, although that's what I said last year."
