W TAYLOR'S patriotism is to be commended but common sense and good taste require even more traders from the continent to sell their produce in our towns.

During my frequent visits to Europe I get a chance to appreciate the taste of real food, especially fruit and vegetables, which has disappeared from the bland goods which our supermarkets offer. I also note that we pay much more for our produce that any other country overseas.

The more foreign markets the better. Not only would this encourage our supermarkets to charge reasonable prices but we may all, once again, start to appreciate the true taste of the produce.
