RYMAN second division Marlow Football Club were beaten 2-1 away at ten-man Windsor and Eton at the weekend.

It was Windsor's third win of the season over Marlow and the Blues had only themselves to blame in a tale of two second-half penalties. Marlow missed their one but Windsor converted theirs.

Earlier Marlow had fallen behind after 90 seconds following a mistake from young debutant Steven Miles.

Marlow drew level with Jim Bradley's header from James Pritchard's cross on 17 minutes and went on to fashion the better chances.

Pritchard and Grant Goodall both had good opportunities before a Chuck Agudosi shot at the other end reminded Marlow that they were in a game.

But the dice seemed to be loaded back in Marlow's's favour when they were awarded a penalty and the home side had a player sent off in one go for striking out at Nick Ryder.

Pritchard stepped up to take the penalty but the keeper was equal to it and then saved Sam Sheppard's follow up strike as well.

Marlow still looked the most likely to score and John Isaac thought he had put them in front only to see a defender clear his header off the line.

Windsor snatched the points when they were awarded a penalty of their own when the ball struck Jim Bradley's hand and, unlike Marlow, they made the most of their spot kick.

Marlow will be bidding to get back on track this week. They entertain East Thurrock on Tuesday before travelling to the Metropolitan Police on Thursday.
