A SCHOOL swimming pool was used to hold competition galas after the original location for the event had to close for renovation work.
Pipers Corner School, in Great Kingshill, which recently opened its new pool, played host to the South Bucks Swimming Association galas.
The event was held at the school after Amersham pool was closed for renovation work.
The galas took place at the school on March 21, and Beaconsfield High School emerged victorious in the senior competitions and the juniors competed on an individual basis.
The school was presented with a pool clock from the association to thank them for hosting the event.
As well as saving the day for the swimming competition, Pipers Corner School students Clare Machin, aged nine, and Hannah Stewart, 11, also had the honour of being selected for the Bucks Junior Team.
