STAFF at the south Bucks branches of Budgens will be organising a number of fundraising activities during the last week in April.

They are raising money for national Multiple Sclerosis Week as part of the supermarket chain's commitment to the charity.

Budgens has adopted the MS Society as its corporate charity this year and aims to raise £100,000 during the year for people living with multiple sclerosis and to help fund research into the condition.

Mike French, Budgens senior operations executive, said: "MS is a condition that affects a large number of people and their families so we are confident our staff will get fully behind this project and help us to raise as much as as possible for the charity."

Katie Beard, branch manager at Budgens in Flackwell Heath, said the store was planning to hold a raffle for an Easter hamper worth around £20 for Multiple Sclerosis Week.

The store is already selling MS pin badges at £1 each in aid of the charity.
