SLIMMER Clare Andrade spoke about her success on national television after she lost more than four stone in weight.

Clare, of Stokenchurch, lost a total of four stone three pounds between June 2000 and January this year and appeared on BBC Two's Esther talk show which was broadcast last week, with her husband.

Louise Marshall, who runs a Weight Watchers class in Stokenchurch, said: "Clare is a fantastic example of total dedication and will power. She lost weight every week without ever gaining even a pound. Now she looks ten years younger."

Clare said her weight loss completely changed her life, appearance and now has so much confidence. And she is not the only achiever at the Stokenchurch Weight Watchers.

Members of the class set a year 2000 goal to lose a combined 2,000lbs and they achieved 2,038lbs by December 13, last year. That is the equivalent to the weight of 15.5 women.

Louise added: "People struggle with their weight constantly whether they have never got to their goals or whether they are trying to stay at them. Other people lose weight and put it back on and some people are too embarrassed even to join a class or exercise in case they are the largest person there.

"As a fellow struggler, I know exactly how it feels to be embarrassed, uncomfortable and unconfident. These achievers may encourage others to do something positive and change their lives."

The class is held every Monday from 6.30 to 8pm at the Community Centre, Bartholomew Tippings Way, Stokenchurch. Anyone wishing to join can just turn up at the class.
