A TEAM of bra-clad Bucks women will be moonwalking around London to raise money for charity.

The ladies will take part, along with 8,000 other bra-clad women and some men, in the 2001 Playtex Moonwalk to help the fight against breast cancer.

Clare Peiser, who is leading the Bucks team called Active Action in May, said: "The Playtex Moonwalk is the only power walking marathon event in the world and we will be joined by women from all over the UK and as far afield as Germany, China and the US."

Nina Barough set up the walk in 1996 as a concept where men and women would walk marathons wearing customised Wonderbras. She said: "Power walking the Moonwalk gives a fantastic opportunity to women and men of all ages to get fit and raise awareness."

Funds raised are split between Breakthrough Breast Cancer Research and The Bristol Cancer Help Centre.
