ROAD safety officers have launched a campaign to promote the rights of vehicle passengers to feel safe.
The campaign forms part of Thames Valley Safer Roads Campaign and Buckinghamshire County Council road safety officers have come up with a leaflet for passengers.
The leaflet advises vehicle passengers how to persuade the person driving them to modify their driving and is being launched throughout the south east.
The leaflet includes 'biodots' that can be worn to indicate how stressed you are feeling and they change colour depending on your stress level.
The challenge for the driver is to keep the biodot in the 'cool' stress free zone.
If the biodot goes dark blue or black it means the passenger is anxious.
If it changes to mid blue or green, the driving has become safer and if it turns pale blue or violet then the passenger is happy with the driving.
A Buckinghamshire County Council spokesman said: "A driver's behaviour often reflects on how passengers think and feel.
"Driving in a smooth and controlled manner means the passenger feels safe and relaxed."
