CHENIES Manor drew the crowds on Sunday when it put on a plant and garden fair.
More than 50 specialist nurseries and producers of decorative garden goods set up stands alongside the manor, selling exotic palms, unusual clematis, trendy water features and much more. Chenies Manor gardens were also open to the public.
Elizabeth MacLeod Matthews, lady of the manor, and a keen gardener herself, says: "I was inspired by the stylish, countrified Courson Fair, south of Paris, and am keen to keep Chenies plant fair relaxed with quality products and an atmosphere in keeping with the Tudor manor and garden.
"Everyone seems to really enjoy the fairs and want to come back."
Visitors were also able to make tours of the house.
Chenies Manor, off the A404 east of Little Chalfont, is open from 2pm to 5pm on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons and Bank Holiday Monday until the end of October.
