STAFF at a nursery school are thrilled after getting a new computer to help give pupils a head start in learning about technology.
Booker Nursery bought the computer after raising £700 at a Christmas carol concert and receiving a £500 donation from Lloyds TSB in High Wycombe.
The nursery, based at Booker Memorial Hall on Booker Common, is also celebrating its 30th birthday this summer.
Manager Sharon Taylor said: "This computer is very worthwhile. Ofsted is very keen that all young children develop some confidence with computers and IT. There is plenty of software aimed at youngsters now such as teaching them how to use a mouse which helps with eye to hand co-ordination."
The group provides care and education for 30 children aged two-and-a-half to five and can now offer free places to three and four-year-old children.
