MARJORIE Nash has thanked everyone who donated towards the relocation of one of the charity's catteries - but has found it will cost more than she thought.
The cat rescue charity, which is based in Snowdrop Way, Widmer End, has been charged more than £1,000 for the work and needs to raise a further £300.
Generous Star readers donated in excess of £300 towards the appeal but the charity is now appealing for more cash.
Marjorie said: "I got such a shock when the bill came in. We raised about £800 so I thought it would cover it and we would have a bit left over for the cats but the invoice came to over £1,000 in the end.
"It is so much money and we appreciate all the help from members of the public."
The Marjorie Nash Cat Rescue is also holding a Garden Party on June 30, from 2pm to 4.30pm at 36 Chenies Avenue, Little Chalfont, in aid of the charity.
Contact Marjorie Nash on 01494 715345 for more details.
To help raise the remaining £300, send a cheque or postal order made payable to the Marjorie Nash Cat Rescue, to Kelly Clayton, Star, Gomm Road, High Wycombe, Bucks, HP13 7DW.
