MEN are being asked to volunteer their services and drink beer to raise money for charity.

The Cressex Community and Social Club is holding a Gents Pub Crawl Board Walk to raise funds for the South Bucks Day Hospice.

Teams of three men will each have a board tied to one of their feet and then head off on a round of various pubs, stopping for half a pint in each.

Each team will be timed and the fastest will win a trophy.

Meanwhile, women will be taking part in their own race the Ladies Fancy Dress Pram Push.

They will also be in teams of three each pushing a pram or wheelchair containing a 'body'.

The events take place on September 16, starting from the Cressex Community Centre and Social Club, in Cressex Road, High Wycombe, at 1pm, both in aid of the South Bucks Day Hospice.

It is hoped that each team will be able to get sponsorship from friends and family and companies can also enter sponsored teams.

Send your entries, with team names, members' names, contact details and number of sponsor forms needed, along with a SAE, to Den Biscoe, c/o Star Charity Shield, Cressex Community Centre, Cressex Road, High Wycombe, or alternatively call 01494 639773.
