A CHURCH which is moving home after 13 years says the change will improve its work.

The Community Church meets for the first time at The Meadows School, Wooburn Green, after moving from Wye Valley School, Bourne End.

Simon Coles, a church elder, said: "We feel that moving to The Meadows School is the right thing for us.

"There is great excitement in the church about it."

The church is a group of local people committed to living out the Christian faith in their normal everyday lives.

Mr Coles added: "We have been involved in Wooburn Green for many years and whilst about half of our membership live in Flackwell Heath and Bourne End, most of the other half live in Wooburn Green.

"The move will give us a greater focus and help us serve the three communities more effectively as well."

The first meetings at The Meadows School are on Sunday at 10 am and 6.30 pm when they will celebrate Pentecost.

The Community Church also run five different "Life Groups" during the week which are an opportunity for the people to meet in a homely setting to learn about God.
