A PRINCES Risborough landmark which has been looking off-colour could soon be all white again.
Whiteleaf Cross has stood out from the countryside for more than 250 years. Since then, the cross has turned a darker shade of green.
David Allworth, chairman of Princes Risborough Town Council, said the council had been looking at the problem for more than three years.
He said the cross had suffered erosion and a major engineering operation would be needed to make it appear white again.
A millennium lottery grant has been applied for to help pay for repair work and it is hoped the cross will soon be restored to its former glory.
