THE mother of a schoolgirl abused by paedophile Alan Foster is disgusted he will only be behind bars for seven years despite more evidence of his sick acts.

The mum, who cannot be named for legal reasons, spoke of her rage after Foster went back before the courts when police discovered a fourth victim and videotapes of his twisted acts.

Foster, formerly of Cherry Tree Road, Beaconsfield, had already been found guilty of sexually abusing three young girls and was jailed for seven years in December 2000.

And despite the new evidence he had nothing added to his sentence when he appeared at court again last month.

The mother said: "I just wonder what kind of state the justice system can be in. Kids are supposed to be protected but I just find this disgusting.

"He has left mental scars on his victims but he has got away with it. I can't believe he has nothing added to his sentence."

Judge Christopher Tyrer told Aylesbury Crown Court on June 4, when Foster was sentenced, that he believed the 48-year-old was still a "dangerous paedophile who will always be dangerous and the public will need to be vigilant wherever he may go".

But the judge said that he was compelled by the Court of Appeal's remarks to pass concurrent sentences even though Foster had admitted three indecent assaults on a fourth girl, two charges of possessing indecent images of children, and two of distributing indecent photographs of children.

Despite the judge's warning Foster could be walking the streets again within seven years and the mother of one of his young victims is furious.

She added: "Ideally I would like to see him locked up forever but realistically I know that won't happen. If there is an armed robber he ends up with 25 years behind bars but to me a paedophile is much worse. They are the people who play with children's lives."
