WYCOMBE Town claimed a full house of wins in the latest round of matches in the Cressex Six-a-Side Summer League to leave them just one point adrift of leaders CBF.

They outpaced WWISC 2-0 with goals from West and Young before going on to a decisive 4-0 win against FC Artois.

Town had to wait a while for their first goal, which came from House to make it 1-0 before half time. A further goal from West coupled with one apiece from Stevens and Auguste made it 4-0 at full time.

In other games, Ariston Athletic continue to make good progress jumping two places to sixth. They started their evening with a 2-0 win over Velo Royals who were unlucky not to take an early lead.

They ended up playing for that miss when Ariston went ahead following Catlin's flick from a throw-in. Ariston extended their lead in the closing minutes of the first half when McInnes picked up on a good cross and slammed it home for 2-0, and that's the way it stayed.

A tough game followed against Hithercroft but Ariston again looked the better side, missing several chances before Anthony Charles put them 1-0 ahead.

But Hithercroft came back with an equaliser from Saunders for a share of the points.

In their final game, Ariston were no match for table toppers CBF, for whom Isaacs hit two without reply.

The Dreem Team put in a poor performance, only managing a 1-1 draw with fourth-from-bottom Marlow Tornadoes.

Dreem looked odds-on favourites to take the game but disaster struck in the opening minutes of the second half when a good breakaway by Fletcher put Marlow 1-0 in front. But their lead was short-lived when Lindsey levelled the score.

Dreem then played out a goalless draw with Jabba's Palace before their chances of any further points were dashed when table climbers Italia Unita beat them 2-0 with both goals coming from Tony Bonaventura.

Italia moved into the top eight qualifying positions for the first time, while Dreem Team's two points saw them creep up to 14th.

Marlow Tornadoes finally lift themselves off the bottom spot, following up their draw against Dreem Team, with their first win of the campaign, a 3-0 victory over fellow strugglers Biffa FC. Two goals from Ryan and another from Richards gave them the win.

The Tornadoes went down 1-0 to Wendover Arms in their final game of the night.

Tring West End held on to fourth with maximum points from their two games.

A single strike from Cuddy saw them beat Days Gone By before they saw off FC Artois more convincingly with goals from Scholes and Wizard (2).

MCS were robbed of a full house and maximum points, which would have taken them into the top eight, after Wycombe Hermits saw them off 2-0 with goals from Page and Russell.

But they had no such problems in their other two games as they beat FC Artois 4-0 with two goals from Austin and one each from Haywood and Catlin before Kelleher's two goals saw off WWISC.
