A PUBLIC meeting is being held to discuss ideas for the new Marlow Town Regatta and Festival.
The new event, to replace Marlow Regatta, is to take place on June 16, and is expected to feature various river events, Traylens Fun Fair, fireworks, the same large car park for picnics and a special enclosure and bar.
James Campbell, one of the chief organisers for the new event, said: "Other events are also under discussion and we are still in need of sponsors and subscribers."
The festival was given the green light after regatta subscribers voted to move Marlow's historic regatta to Eton College's purpose-built rowing lake.
The meeting is on February 6 at Liston Hall in Chapel Street, Marlow, from 7.45pm for an 8pm start.
