A MAN who was saved from a brush with death has described the service he received at Wycombe Hospital as second to none.
Chris Rae was rushed to hospital after collapsing at the end of November suffering from pneumonia, septicaemia and leukaemia.
He spent nearly three months recovering in hospital and was sent home at the end of January after making a full recovery. Mr Rae, of Westhorpe Road, Marlow, is still undergoing treatment for leukaemia.
The 53-year-old said: "I take my hat off to treatment at Wycombe Hospital and give them all my sincere thanks.
"The new chemotherapy out-patient unit is very civilised. These people work so hard, I don't know how they do it."
Martin Leaver, a spokesman for Wycombe Hospital, said: "People like Mr Rae are in the best position to tell us if we are doing a good job and it is always gratifying to get such a vote of confidence."
