THE Windsor Lions dropped into the Compleat Angler Hotel as part of a marathon money raising row down the Thames.
The five day trip went from The Leander Club in Henley-on-Thames all the way to Windsor, stopping for afternoon tea at Marlow's riverside hotel last Thursday.
The group raised an impressive £5,000 for disabled sports charity WAMSAD. During the trip, which finished on Saturday, the group collected money from other boats and people walking along the river.
Helen Rathbone, spokesman for the hotel, said: "It was a lovely afternoon and we were pleased to be able to support them on their trip."
The group used the Royal Thamesis, a replica royal barge and the boat used by Sir Steve Redgrave to open the Marlow Town Festival and Regatta.
