PARENTS got to see the fruits of their fundraising efforts when a school held a computer open day.
The parents' association at Holmer Green Junior School, The Common, Holmer Green, held quiz nights, and summer fairs to raise £12,000 to go towards the £45,000 Launch Pad the school's computer suite.
The 18-computer network has been online since the start of the term and parents got the chance to see the system in action on Thursday.
Headteacher Ian Holden said: "We have done a parents' survey to ask them about how they feel.
"The results were overwhelmingly very positive about the new facilities. I think they are very impressed because the children are able to spend a significant amount of time using the computers.
"It has the latest curriculum software and there is a lot of enthusiasm for it. We have got a very supportive set of parents."
