POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a car was knocked off the motorway by an articulated lorry which failed to stop.
The incident happened at 7am when a green Rover 216 was in collision with the lorry and was forced up onto the embankment between junctions three and four of the M40.
The accident caused over a mile of tailbacks in the early morning rush hour.
The 50-year-old male driver of the Rover suffered bruising but was not seriously injured.
