BEACONSFIELD recorded their first-ever win over higher-league rivals High Wycombe in a pre-Christmas friendly last weekend.

But Beaconsfield had to come from behind to do it. They found themselves down early on as Wycombe rushed into a two-try lead.

Simon Crow pulled one back for Beaconsfield and Noel O'Mahoney added another just before half time.

Kenny Cotter sealed it for Beaconsfield as he kicked two penalties, the only scores of the second half, to see his team clinch it 16-12.

Beaconsfield play a friendly against Uxbridge tomorrow, while High Wycombe return to the league on January 6 when they travel to local rivals Amersham and Chiltern.
