TEACHERS at Little Kingshill Combined School are celebrating after receiving a glowing Ofsted report.

The school, in Windsor Lane, Little Kingshill, received the report which said the quality of teaching throughout the school was 'very good' as were the pupils' attitudes to school and behaviour, personal development and attendance.

They also praised the school for its 'broad and relevant' curriculum and good provisions for children with special educational needs. They also said the level of achievement with standards for ten to 11 year olds, were above or well above the national average. And this comes just two months after they received a school achievement award.

Sandra Melhuish, who lives in Holmer Green, has put two children through the school and was a member of the Parent Teacher Association. She is pleased with the results.

She said: "I would like to say 'very well done' to the school. It really doesn't surprise me that they have done so well.

"My son has just left the school so I have to come off the PTA, but I am really pleased for all they have done for both of my children."

Headteacher Jenny Hall said: "We are delighted that the hard work of the school's teachers and children, supported by their parents, has been recognised by the Ofsted inspectors."

Parents told the Ofsted inspectors that what pleased them most was the way their children made good progress, liked the school and behaved well.
