CHILTERN Harriers Derek Brown and Sally White claimed the Prestwood 10K run on Sunday, in a repeat of last year's results.

The pair retained their titles, holding off the 200-strong field that tackled the course in high temperatures.

Brown led from the start to reclaim the men's title in 33 minutes, 44 seconds. It was his fifth Prestwood win.

White had a comfortable win in the women's race, finishing two-and-a-half minutes clear of her nearest rival in 40min, 48sec.

Meanwhile, Marlow teacher Hayley Yelling had a busy weekend, claiming the Middlesex County Championships' 1500 metres on Saturday before winning the women's event in the Marlow Five on Sunday.

Yelling, who teaches at Marlow's Sir William Borlase's School, claimed a season's best time in the 1500m racing for Windsor, Slough, Eton and Hounslow.

She then followed that up with a storming win in Sunday's Marlow run, organised by Handy Cross Joggers.

Her partner Mike Simpson claimed the men's race, with only a few seconds separating the pair.
