PUPILS and teachers will celebrate the launch of Holmer Green Upper School's family sport, health and fitness scheme.
The project is being launched at the school, in Parish Piece, Holmer Green, on Saturday with a Family Fun and Fitness Day, giving families the opportunity to take part in a number of activities, including orienteering, baseball and basketball.
The school is the base for the project, one of five such schemes currently funded by the Monument Trust.
Managed by Education Extra, the scheme aims to develop out-of-school hours opportunities that promote physical activity among all generations.
Headteacher Stephen Box said: "We hope to extend partnerships with other agencies in order to fully utilise facilities at the school for the benefit of the whole community."
The event runs from 11am to 2pm.
