A SHOPOWNER is to appeal after councillors refused planning permission to turn a bakery and florists into a food outlet.
Wycombe District Council turned down an application for Yun Jin Lau to turn the Village Bakery Fruiterer & Florist, Oxford Road, Stokenchurch, into a food establishment.
A council spokesman said another food outlet would mean the majority of shops would sell food. There is a chip shop next door and a pub selling food nearby.
Mrs Lau has appealed to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and Regions against the decision.
The appeal will be decided on the basis of written statements given to an independent inspector and his site inspection.
