BUCKINGHAMSHIRE Railway Centre and Banbury Steam Society have teamed up to rescue the Steam Rally calendar which was thrown into chaos due to foot and mouth.
Allan Baker, at the centre, said: "This has left a big void in this traditional countryside activity for both exhibitors and fans alike.
"These events recall days long past when steam power was king in the countryside."
The centre, in Quainton Road, Quainton, and the society will present a unique steam and vintage vehicle show on June 23 and 24 between 10.30am to 5.30pm.
Exhibits will include railway and traction engines, vintage rolling stock, commercial vehicles, organs, working demonstration of old skills and loads more.
Organiser Mike Smith said: "This is the only event in the UK this year where the unique Aveling and Porter Road and Rail vehicles will be demonstrated together and it's an event not to be missed."
Admission is £5 for adults and £4 for kids and senior citizens.
