ONCE again it's time to browse other people's Prestwood gardens and all for charity. The 16th annual garden trail to raise money for the Imperial Cancer Research Fund takes place next Sunday, June 24, from 2pm to 5pm. This year, the trail takes in gardens along Moat Lane and Hotley Bottom.

Just park in the infant school, buy your £2 ticket and have a great time viewing nine local gardens. It's a great way to discover new plants and planting ideas. This year there is also a short woodland walk and a sale of pots thrown by a local potter.

MIDSUMMER Madness hits the local junior school as it opens its doors to a fete and craft fair of the same name next Sunday, June 24 between 1pm and 4pm. Its famous bungee-run will be there together with its excellent barbecue refreshments.

LOCAL walker and sky-diver extraordinaire Christine Jolly would like to take you for a walk this Sunday. The Prestwood Society is behind this offer and it extends to any dogs that you'd like to bring along as they are very welcome. For details of the meeting place and route, call Christine on 01494 865254.

COFFEE in a garden setting is a money raising event next Saturday morning, June 23, at 10.30am at Dorset House, Meadow Gate, Perks Lane, Prestwood. This is organised by the Monday Group in aid of The Florence Nightingale Hospice.
