LUCKY lottery winner Chris Parsons has won a dream holiday of a lifetime after his ticket came up trumps.

Chris, 39, of Oakwood, Flackwell Heath, is on his way to Florida with his wife and three children after winning one of 200 dream holidays randomly given away through lottery terminals around the country.

He said he couldn't believe his luck, adding: "My children have never been on a plane before. We are looking forward to it a great deal."

However, Chris nearly missed out on the fantastic prize after only just remembering to buy a ticket on March 10.

He said: "I went out to get McDonald's for the kids' tea and when I was driving back, I remembered.

"There was cabling work going on so I popped into the lay-by and went into this store."

Chris went in to Flackwell's Fair Price Food and News, Swaines Market, at around 7pm.

When his ticket went through the lottery terminal, a fanfare sounded, meaning he had won a dream holiday courtesy of the National Lottery, worth £5,000.

He added: "We originally didn't think about Florida because we didn't know much about it and the children aren't really into the big rides.

"But there's a lot more going on there and they love the Disney characters."

Wife Joanne, 38, said the children, Hannah, ten, Annie, five, and Sam, four, were thrilled about the holiday.

She said: "They're all very excited."
