SUSTRANS is pleased to announce that the shared use path on the disused railway between Thame and Princes Risborough has been completed. A new tarmac path between Penn Farm, Towersey and the by-pass was laid at the end of February. People can walk, cycle and ride horses on the four-mile traffic free route between Thame eastern by-pass and the B4009 outside Princes Risborough. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. The official opening ceremony will take place at 10.30am on Wednesday, June 20.

LOCAL wildlife and rural heritage enthusiasts are encouraged to complete a questionnaire seeking their views on the future of the countryside around Princes Risborough. The questionnaire has been produced by the Risborough Countryside Group in response to the community planning exercise being delivered by the town council. The form is available from the Risborough Information Centre in Horns Lane.

FIVE years after the store was opened, pedestrian access is finally being provided from the town centre and Duke Street directly to the entrance to Tesco. When the supermarket opened the busy junction outside St Teresas Church was remodelled to include a roundabout but pedestrian access involved a risky road crossing.
