DISTRAUGHT Orlando Mount has appealed for the return of his motorbike after it was stolen by heartless thieves.

Orlando, seven, of Woodside Road, Micklefield, was upset to learn his motocross bike had been stolen from the garden of a friend's house in Gunthorpe Road, Marlow, between January 26 and 29.

He had spent months saving up his pocket money to buy the bike after doing odd jobs for relatives.

Orlando's mother, Rebecca, said "It's heartbreaking. He and his dad went down to Marlow to look at it and it had been taken.

She added: "We didn't know how to tell him at first."

Ironically, the white Yamaha ATPW had been put left at a friend's house as Orlando's parents thought it would be safer.

Rebecca said Orlando, who bought the bike two months ago, has always been passionate about them.

"He's loved motorbikes since he was about two," Rebecca said.

"He asked me if he could have one and I told him if he saved up to get one, I'd buy him gear to go with it, thinking he'd forget about it.

"But he saved up all his money doing odd jobs for relatives till he had enough."

A £100 reward has been offered for the safe return of the bike.

Rebecca added: "He just says 'why can't people go and get their own?'."

She added that the bike, which has a pink seat, has been seen and she hopes it can be returned.
