A VICAR of St Dunstan has been appointed as an honorary canon of Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford.
The Rev Andrew Meynell, team vicar of St Dunstan, Monks Risborough, was appointed by the Bishop of Oxford, the Right Rev Richard Harries, as honorary canon on August 6, in recognition of his contribution to the diocese.
Canon Meynell came to Monks Risborough in 1995 when he was also appointed Archdeaconry Director of Ordinands for Buckinghamshire. He said he was delighted to be asked to become an honorary canon.
The Rev Nigel Lacey has been appointed to the West Wycombe rectory, which also has responsibility for other churches in the area.
