MOTHER-of-three Margaret Doel was killed when a lorry ploughed through the front of a town centre estate agents.

Mrs Doel, of Main Road, Lacey Green, died on Thursday afternoon along with a female customer, believed to be in her 20s, when the lorry, loaded with bricks, crashed through the front of Aitchisons Estate Agents in Easton Street, High Wycombe.

The two women and partner in the firm, Royston Davis, were the only people in the estate agents. Mr Davis escaped with minor injuries.

Mrs Doel, who was widowed several years ago when her husband died in an accident, had been working as a secretary at Aitchisons for just two weeks.

Her three sons are being comforted by family and friends.

Four other people were injured in the crash, which happened at 2.50pm, including the 37-year-old lorry driver.

The driver, from Clapham, Bedfordshire, who was pulled from the wreckage by firefighters and treated at Wycombe Hospital, was questioned by police after the accident and released on police bail.

Dozens of wreaths and bunches of flowers have been laid at the scene of the tragedy by family, friends and well-wishers of the women who died.
