HIGH Wycombe Cycling Club's time trial champion Dave Johnson was once again the fastest veteran after competing in the Salisbury Road Club's open ten mile time trial.
Johnson recorded a time of 20min, 44sec over the Andover course to follow up on his brilliant performance just four days earlier when he broke the men's senior and veteran Longwick-Haddenham 22 mile circuit record.
There he clocked 48 mins, 56 secs, slicing 11 seconds from his own previous best time.
Elsewhere, Adam Henley was up against some tough opposition on Sunday taking part in the fourth round of the Under-23 British Cycling Federation's National Points Series.
Henley, who has bounced back from recent illness and low form, paced himself carefully at the start of the race promoted by the Rockingham Forest Wheelers.
The Wycombe rider finished 26th overall.
Martin and Karl Freeman (Team Corley) were also among the competitors, with Martin taking fifth place, although Karl failed to finish.
