SUNDAY Combination side Cherry Tree FC were crowned County Champions after a tense final at Marlow against Wokingham side FC Victoria.

The 2-0 scoreline somewhat flattered the Berkshire side who lost their discipline in the second half and finished with just eight players.

Cherry Tree were really pumped up for this one and overran Victoria for the first few minutes with some forceful raids.

On 30 minutes Cherry were awarded a penalty which skipper Chris Ayres struck low and to the keeper's left to open the scoring. Within five minutes Lee Watson was brought down clumsily for a second spot kick, but Ayres with an identical shot saw the Victoria keeper fly to his left to keep it out.

Hungry for more goals, the Flackwell side burst through numerous times with Mick Hackshaw and Andy Humphrey working tirelessly. A left wing corner on 54 minutes fell invitingly to Tim Dean who made no mistake from close in as Victoria defenders failed to clear their lines.

Victoria then lost totally lost their composure, giving away yet another penalty. This time Jamie Charles struck it well but a spectacular leap saw the keeper beat it out to keep the score at 2-0.
