A HEARTBROKEN daughter is pleading with thieves who stole teddies put on her father's graveside by his grandchildren to return them.
Denise Reed, of Adam Close, in High Wycombe, said the tiny bears had been bought by the grandchildren after they saved up their pocket money.
She added: "My father only died last year and it has been very stressful for the family. My nieces bought the teddies especially for their grampy and we are very upset that they have gone missing. We feel awful."
The teddies were put in jars with a cloth lid and had been placed on the grave at St Peter and St Pauls Church, in Stokenchurch.
Grandchildren Jade, 11 and Clhoe, nine, had travelled down from their home in Scotland recently especially to bring the presents.
But between Wednesday night and Thursday last week, the two small teddies were taken from a shelf on the gravestone.
Mother-of-two Denise said: "I just hope these thieves have a conscience and realise how upset the family is.
"My nieces come and visit the grave every few months and we would just ask the people who took them, if they have any guilt at all, to bring the teddies back to the grave."
