ONE lucky child could scoop £1,500 of book vouchers for their school in a national competition being run by the Cheltenham & Gloucester (C&G).

The competition is designed to highlight the Marine Conservation Society's Turtle Conservation Programme and to mark the launch of the C&G Young Investor account, offering children a special adopt-a-turtle pack.

It is open to four to 11-year-olds and all they need to do is draw an underwater scene.

The winners of the branch competition will receive their turtle-themed prizes at a special presentation and the first prize picture will be entered into the national final to win the vouchers for their school.

C&G has produced information packs for schools containing a fact sheet and quiz which will help to promote turtle conservation.

Nick Hale, C&G sales director, said: "C&G uses the natural world in its advertising and promotion, so supporting the Turtle Conservation Programme enables us to put something back.

"We hope that local schools will get behind the idea and we'll soon be inundated with pictures."

Entry forms are available from C&G, Church Street, High Wycombe. The competition runs from May 1 to June 2.
