I COULD not believe my eyes when I saw the "No to McDonald's" article in last week's Star.
Have people forgotten the recent history of the pub site concerned? A pub is noisy far more noisy than McDonald's.
The pub was a gay pub once. No complaint then that I can remember. I thought we were a tolerant bunch in this area.
I cannot see a McDonald's being such a problem to the locals. Is the site to remain empty to please those who want no noise?
I live very near the Beacon Centre, another so-called noisy site. Can't say I notice it's there.
The fast food restaurant will provide jobs for local people and an amenity for those of us with children.
Come on locals Give McDonald's a chance.
