MARLOW Town Mayor Derek Done raised more than £2,500 at the annual Spring Ball.
Guests enjoyed a champagne reception on the riverside lawns of the Compleat Angler Hotel, in Marlow, before a meal, raffle and auction in the restaurant on Friday.
Cash raised will be split between the Marlow Town Festival and Regatta, set to take place on June 16, and the Permanent Tribute for Sir Steven Redgrave Appeal, which hopes to put a statue of Sir Steven in Higginson Park.
Cllr Done said of the evening: "It may not have been brilliantly sunny but the rain held off. The service at the hotel was very good and we had a couple of very generous donors on the night."
Organisers had hoped Sir Steven would make an appearance but he was unable to attend.
