A 30 mile per hour speed limit has been successfully extended thanks to two years of campaigning.
Holtspur Lane residents, in Wooburn Green, have been demanding safety measures for a couple of years and now Buckinghamshire County Council has acted.
Richard Burton, council spokesman, said the 30mph sign was moved further up Holtspur Lane to incorporate residential roads Northcroft and Goodwin Meadows.
He said: "It was moved for two reasons. One because it will reduce the speed of vehicles coming into the village itself and two, so that we can put a gateway, which is a traffic calming measure, on the approach to the village."
