A FAMILY are making a heartfelt plea for a woman driver to come forward as they say she accidentally reversed into their three-year-old daughter.
Dad Nick Lawman is desperate for the motorist to contact police after his daughter narrowly missed going under the wheels of the car.
He said the accident happened on June 25 when the driver reversed into Fennels Way, Flackwell Heath, between 4.15pm and 4.30pm.
Nick's wife, Elizabeth, had been walking across Swains Lane towards Fennels Way with their three-year-old daughter, Nina, in her buggy when they say the car reversed into them.
Little Nina luckily escaped when Elizabeth was pushed out of the way and the toddler fell out of the buggy and in between the wheels of the car.
Nick said: "It's not that we want retribution but my wife and daughter were very shaken. Elizabeth obviously feels the horror about what happened and realises that Nina could have come close to death."
Nick, who lives in the road where the accident happened, said: "My daughter escaped with cuts and bruises.
"I don't think the lady realised what had happened but we would like someone to contact the police and let them know who she was."
If you have any information about the driver of the dark blue car, who is believed to have been visiting someone in the area, call PC Cliff Cornell on 01494 736723
