A CAMPAIGN has been launched to raise public awareness of the effects of pollution caused by cars - particularly the dangers to young people's health.
As part of the Travelwise initiative, set up by Buckinghamshire County Council, the campaign focuses on the serious impact on the health of young people - including the dramatic increase in asthma caused by the effects of car emissions.
Stefan Dimic, a transport policy officer for the county council, said: "Our aim is to raise awareness among motorists of the impact they have on the environment especially relating to health issues.
"Buckinghamshire County Council continues to reinforce the benefits of taking the bus, walking, cycling or car-share, which lead to a better environment for us all."
Public information, including leaflets and posters, is being distributed across the county.
