A SCOOTER rider had to be taken to hospital on Christmas Day after being involved in a collision with a car which failed to stop.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident which happened at around 6.30pm outside the Fina garage on Ashley Green Road, Chesham.
Vernon Blanc, 38, from Bristol, had been visiting his family in Chesham when the accident happened and ended up being taken to Hemel Hempstead Hospital with back injuries.
Sergeant Steve Underwood at Amersham Traffic Police is keen to trace the driver of the car involved who drove off following the incident.
He said the car would have had damage to the front including a broken number plate, part of which would have included the numbers 46.
